Marketing & Development.
Products focusing our efforts on two top-level
technical fields to meet the advancing needs.
As mobile communication devices become smaller and more lightweight,
the crystal products inside require advanced technol-ogy to to become
smaller and capable of being surface mounted with a high level of
performance that can withstand extreme temperatures. Our expertise in
the areas of materials development and product application of quartz
crystal enables us to develop and manufacture products to satisfy our
customer's demands.
As a top-class synthetic quartz crystal manufacture.
Since beginning production of synthetic quartz crystal in 1977, we have continued to improve the quality and purity of our crystal. In 1994, we were first in the industry to develop a high-pressure furnance (platinum furnance) for production of synthetic quartz crystal with our own technology. As a result of this innovation, we were able to establish technology for mass production of high-quality synthetic quartz crystal with few crystal defects and technology for processing ultra-thin quartz plates for use in high-frequency crystal products. In the field of mobile communications, we are producing crystal materials to meet the demand for highly stable, high-precision crystal products that are smaller, thinner and cap-able of being surface mounted.

Developing added-value products for the needs of tomorrow.
Crystal devices are key components in a wide variety of electronic products.
We are making efforts to develop high added-value products for use in one such
sector of electronics, namely mobile communication devices, with successful results.
As these devices are becoming more compact with more enhanced features,
we are now manufacturing surface mounttype, subminiature quartz crystal units
and highly-stable crystal oscillators. And in 1995, we developed a new material,
Langasite, that features excellent piezoelectric and temperature characteristics and
operates on a high frequency band. We were able to successfully incorporate
this material in our latest products to meet the varying needs of tomorrow.
Production & Quality Control
An efficient, integrated production and quality control system
that provides higher quality products on a more timely basis.
In the quickly expanding information and communications markets,
the need for a stable supply of crystal products is increasing,
and the demand for higher quality is becoming more severe.
In response to these trends, we are improving our manufacturing facilities and
strengthening our integrated production and quality control system,
which handles everything from raw materials we are creating a system
to provide quality that is sure to satisfy.
Highly efficient production through scale merit of our plants.
Tokyo Denpa concentrates the efforts from its seven specialized plants to ensure
highly efficient production. To provide a stable supply of products, our production
lines are automated, new plants are constructed and our exiting plants are expanded
The Kuji Plant at Morioka Tokyo Denpa was constructed in 1995 for
increased production of crystal oscillators. And in 1996, the plant at the Gunma
head quarters underwent a mayor expansion, and a system was developed to handle
the increasing demands of the future.
Realization of higher reliability and lower costs.
We have constructed an integrated production and quality control system that covers each process from the manufacture of highly pure synthetic quartz crystal to its incorporation into various electronic products. this system enables cost and quality control starting the raw materials in order to create products with higher reliability and lower costs. And with ISO 9002 series certification, the plants at Tokyo Denpa continue to strive toward higher total quality backed by stronger quality control.
